Take my life, and let it be

Edifying song. We sang verse 3 repeated in the church today.

This song never made sense when we sang it at school. But this morning, more than 20 years later it speaks to my heart and informs the attitude I need to adopt in service to my Lord and King. Blessed be the Lord God Almighty who has loved us with an everlasting love. There is none beside Him...He alone is King and He is worthy of all our praise. Hallelujah!

I was thinking and this song this morning, it revived me and it also reminds me of my service to the kingdom of God.

Let me be an instrument in Your vineyard and in the life of people in Jesus' mighty name.. I'm nothing without You the lover of my soul.

I was meditating on Matthew 10:39 this morning:

"Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it."

Then this precious hymn came to mind. What a beautiful expression of a fully surrendered heart! I pray that my life will be found in You, Father God. Take my life and let it be, consecrated Lord to Thee!

After singing this song, I felt very close to God.

I looked up this song while I was in church this morning and the words brought tears to my eyes. Oh how we should long to live those words! Am also excited, varying people from different walks of life knowing and loving the LORD!

This is not just a song but a lifestyle that everyone that sees him/her self as a sojourner here must yearn and work towards. Thank God for His grace upon the composer and the users.

Just sang this song in church and it always uplifts my spirit. Lord Jesus Christ, let my moments please You always. Amen!
