Take my life, and let it be

Consecration Surrendering All to the Lord

English445

1

Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

2

Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3

Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.

4

Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.

5

Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.

6

Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure-store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.

I found this soul-uplifting hymn in my late mother’s hymn book. It instantly makes me want to merge and become the dust at His feet. It is not only soul-uplifting, but also soul wrenching .

This hymn is one of my greatest hymn. Its lyrics neutralizes depression and anxiety and reconnect your soul to the holy of holies. I can't get rid of this hymn both in winter and summer.

Thanks holy spirit for the inspiration and the vessel with which you used to make a reality. Glory be to God.

Indeed this hymn is inspired by the holy spirit, it takes only the potter to mold the clay to its own best, whenever I'm singing this hymn I'm literally telling God to take the will of my life.

The hymns melts down my soul that when I fill unbroken with the tune alone, I connect.

May the almighty Lord be praised forever.
