The deeper I go with Christ in my Christian life, the more I know him experientially and am moved to a greater consecration.

This is the most famous hymn written by Frances Havergal. She was a gifted poet and hymnist. She lived a life plagued by ill health and only lived to 42 years old. This hymn always brings me to the Lord and a humble restating of my consecration. I realize that He doesn’t want my things but my heart. “Take myself and I will be, ever only all for thee”. If I “let Him” He will take my heart little by little. Lord I want a deeper experience of you so I give you more of my Life!

I was very inspired this morning by every word in this hymn. It led me to prayerfully re-dedicate my entire life to Jesus Christ. My entire being and all I have will be for His Own Glory. My voice will not talk of defeat or what the enemy is doing but what the Lord has done and will do for me and for humanity at large. There is so much I can say about this song, but to God be all the Glory.

As this happens, your life becomes an act of worship that reveals his hope within you. ” 💛 This beautiful hymn came to mind. What a great song that reminds us to let go of the reins and let God take control! Ever, only, all for Thee!
