To God be the glory, great things He hath done

Worship of the Father His Redemption

English39
1
To God be the glory, great things He hath done,
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life our redemption to win,
And opened the life-gate that all may go in.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice;
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory; great things He hath done.
2
Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
3
Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport when Jesus we see.

I LOVE the lyrics to this song. Mind you, there is a slight difference in the first verse, to what I'm familiar with.

"....Who yielded His life, an atonement for sin...." Same idea, though, so it's all good! The point is, ALL may go in. "The Vilest offender, who truly believes..."

Thank You Jesus for preserving our souls from destruction. You did not let the rod of the wicked lie on the lot of the righteous. We say thank You Lord for Your protection. We really appreciate You oh Lord!!! Be Thou exalted forever in our lives and family in Jesus Name. Amen. We have put on our dancing shoes now, our sorrows are ended. Thanks for uploading this song and God bless you all. Shalom!!!

This hymn came to mind as I was interceding for my son. Indeed, He is able to do exceeding abundantly, beyond what I am able to ask or think, according to the power that is at work within us--Hallelujah! To GOD be the glory for ALL the great things He has done!

As I was praising the Lord, this hymn came to my heart to sing. Unto God be glory for all He had done in my life, family and ministry. For ever His name shall be praised in my life. Amen.
