To God be the glory, great things He hath done

I pray for healing for my niece, who has leukemia. Jesus heals, to Him be the glory!

The lessons that her family learns through out this ordeal, to God be the glory!

To God be all the Ģlory and honour for his redemption and eternal life l have received through Jesus Christ.

Such beautiful words!

This hymn has always remained with me since a child. There's something absolutely, completely & deeply embedded onto our hearts that totally allows us to really belt this hymn out in a loud & joyful voice, singing to our Lord with a loving heart & a belly full of praise to our most high & divine Lord. I've never known this hymn ever in my 50yrs of being a Christian, to be sung quietly behind a hymn book or order of service sheet? It's always sung loud with cheerful hearts, even by those in our congregations who usually mime the words, (We all have them...!) The Quiet Achievers I like to call them :D. Best way to start any service anywhere, not only under the Lords roof of a church, but anywhere where two, three or more are gathered in our Almighty Fathers name. I must admit, this is one of my all time favourite hymns. Praise be to the Father the Son & the Holy Spirit AMEN!

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice;
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory; great things He hath done.

This hymn underscores the fact whatever I have achieved in life, it's by my Saviour. May His name be glorified forever and forever.

This hymn lifts my spirit, and great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son. Amen.

I love the words in the chorus "oh come to the father through Jesus the son" is a reminder of the high price that Jesus paid for us on the cross and that when we pray this is how we should do so, take your prayers to Jesus and ask him to intercede for us for it is through Jesus we come to the Father.

"For God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth." John 4:24

Hymns have so much truth content from the Scriptures. When it unites with His Spirit within, us it flows out with praise!

Thank you for each one who have made comments here. You encourage my heart!

This song is sssooooo anointed, it truly turns your mourning into dancing, it just helped me so much through a wobbly patch... It is so heartwarming that so many of us are singing this song to our Heavenly Daddy in unison, bless you all 💓💓💓

I started listening to some hymns in the middle of the night and copied the lyrics to an app on my phone when I saw these comments from all my brothers and sisters worldwide, all of us singing the praises of the One who saved us. Indeed to God be all glory, great things he has and continues to do! May the Lord keep you, protect you and bless you until 'that day' when we will meet.
