To God be the glory, great things He hath done

English39

To God be the glory, great things He hath done,
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life our redemption to win,
And opened the life-gate that all may go in.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice;
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory; great things He hath done.

Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport when Jesus we see.

GOD IS GREAT AND GREATLY TO BE PRAISED 🙏❤️ 💯

From I was child going to Church up until I am a grown woman I Love to Sing This Powerful Hymn.

God Is Powerful, Awesome And Amazing sending His Only One Begotten Son Jesus Christ to Pay for my son debt in Full on Calvary's cross 2000 years ago. Jesus Christ was wounded for my transgressions, He was bruised for my iniquities. And by His stripes I am healed. WOW God TRULY LOVES me and that's all that matters 🙏👏🤲🙌❤️🌹💯🕊️💕

To God be the glory, great things He hath done,

Who yielded His life our redemption to win,
And OPENED THE LIFE-GATE that ALL may go in.

The way to God through the veil of His (Christ’s) flesh was accomplished through the redemption purchased by Christ’s death. Now the gate to eternal life is flung open. It is open to all that will believe in Christ. I passed through this gate nearly 60 years ago. I pray manny more men will pass through this life-gate. Praise the Lord for such a wonderful event. Let all the people rejoice. “Oh come to the Father through Jesus the Son! ”

Our church switched to these new contemporary songs, and I miss these old songs dearly. Don't know if I should leave and find old song religion or stick it out. Many churches have lost the way through technology and this I believe is the great falling away the bible speaks of in the end times. Pray that your church stays faithful to the words of Fanny Crosby and the others through the years.

He did! It's Done! Complete. Finished. Accomplished. The Holy Spirit makes it our reality. We have it and praise God for the great things He has done.

Hallelujah.

We are in the Kingdom of God. Praise the LORD! Hear HIS voice... listen for present truth. Walk in the light. Love one another. This is how we glorify HIS holy name.
