Christ, whose glory fills the skies

I have long prayed these lyrics and they have long blessed me with comfort, calling on my Father to pull me out of the lower, darker places.

Fill me. Radiance Divine.

Lovely to read others’ take on this beautiful hymn. A favourite of mine too - often sung in the shower. Mischievously I sometimes alter verse 2 line 2 to ‘unaccompanied by tea’ . Writing this in the early morning in bed after my wife has kindly brought me a cup of the reviving liquid.

Soothing hymn to stay connected all through the day.

A perfect hymn to start the day.

Powerful words of worship that overwhelm me and I find myself down on my knees and in tears each time I sing this song. Indeed "Dark and cheerless is the morn

Unaccompanied by Thee;
Joyless is the day’s return,
Till Thy mercy’s beams I see..." Thank you Jesus

The Holy Spirit just laid this hymn in my heart this morning can’t rest until I googled it sang and prayed, it’s also one of my fav hymns from my primary school. Glad my eyes and warm heart Lord for it’s all yours. Amen

Stanza three inspires me a lot.

Visit then this soul of mine

Powerful hymn from my youth, among many that brighten my days even now many decades later. Thanks be to God!

Fill me Radiancy divine, Scatter all my unbelief, More and more Thyself display, Shining through the perfect day. - A very powerful prayer indeed.
