Lately I've been going through what I felt like was injustice in my personal life. The one person that I thought would be empathetic did not understand me. I tried physical activity but it was only good for my body but not for my heart and my which was in great turmoil. In my despair I remembered how hymns have always been an encouragement to me. I asked the Lord to give me a song in the night and He led me to this song. It is well with my soul even if I suffer injustly and I am misunderstood. Jesus suffered all that and more, and many people will continue to as long we are still living under the sun. The second stanza was such an encouragement: "that Christ hath regarded my helpless estate...." It is indeed well with me, and a privilege to share in Christ's suffering. Praise God,
