My hope is built on nothing less

When I was battling a terrible condition of the heart way back in 2011 called "relaxation impairment" this song gave me a strong assurance when I felt like I had reached a dead end and all was like sinking sand. I played it like 10 times daily till I was delivered by the grace of the Lord. The Lord Jesus Christ healed me! Hallelujah!

This month my Loving mum has gone to be with the Lord, as I battle the loss of my mentor in all, this hymn becomes so reassuring, knowing that I am on firm foundation, Jesus Christ the Solid Rock. Although everything is sinking sand, I have faith in Him who stills the water.

Every other grounds like academic qualifications, human and foreign connections, family background, bank account balance, etc are all sinking sand. Jesus, and Him only is the solid rock to stand without fear of drowning or sinking. I believe!

Christ indeed is the only ROCK on which we can firmly stand. I sang this hymn in my dream and it has ever since become my favorite.

Could you please tell me the story behind it?

What a great reminder to me today, as I battle through life. My faith is strengthened and I'm able to forge ahead, knowing that Jesus is my SOLID foundation. Oh God, thank You for Jesus! Because of His obedience unto death and His grace that has enabled me to hear about Him and believe in Him, I have the Holy Spirit indwelling me. What an awesome presence! I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me! AMEN!!

Indeed, Jesus Christ has long been the foundation of our existence on earth, He still is and surely future is same. Thank You God Almighty for giving us Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. ON CHRIST I SOLELY STAND!!!

The hymn touches my heart with the assurance that no matter what the circumstances are "GOD IS OUR HOPE". There is hope and strength (divine grace from GOD) in every situation that comes in our way and JESUS CHRIST the only Son of the MOST HIGH SUPREME BEING (THE ALMIGHTY GOD) is the hope. Am rest assured. Victory has been mine in JESUS name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

These words are such comfort! Praise the Lord for these truths and His great mercy.

This is a faithful song throughout the years for me, because when the storms of life comes it strengthens me. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all the other ground is sinking sand. Be encouraged. God is in control. Amen!
