My hope is built on nothing less

Assurance and Joy of Salvation Justified in Christ

English298

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

Heading out of the country for a couple of weeks, very excited, but feel somuch anxiety leaving my family. My 2 year old granddaughter has a bad cold, fever and nausea. It seems small but of course there are other life concerns as well. Thought this would be a great thought to carry with me on my journey.

I face surgery for cancer tomorrow. I know that my Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ goes before me. I know that He alone is sufficient and exceeds all my needs - for forgiveness, for sanctification, for justification, and indeed for glorification. My Lord I trust You for You have never left me and never forsaken me. I love You and though I am very weak You are so very strong! May You be glorified and honoured in tomorrow's outcome and in all my outcomes to follow.

My hope, grace, greatness, life, testimonies, inheritance, healing, success, sufficiency, wealth etc, is built on nothing else than Jesus Christ the solid rock Amen. Thank You Lord Jesus for making me your daughter. Am lifted and inspired by this hymn.

Oh how good and pleasant it is!

Reading the comments from my brothers and sisters in Christ, whom I’ve yet to meet, about their love of our Saviour and this song is unifying, uplifting and powerful.

Thank you all for your testimony of our Great Hope, Jesus Christ our Lord. ALL other ground is sinking sand!

Ps 18:18 "They prevented (confronted) me in the day of my calamity, But the Lord was my stay"

His oath, His covenant and blood,
Support me in the whelming flood
When all around my soul gives way
He then is all my hope and stay
