The king of Babylon besieged,
Nebuchadnezzar besieged;
God gave Jerusalem to his hand —
And vessels from His house so grand;
The king of Babylon besieged.
Nebuchadnezzar besieged;
God gave Jerusalem to his hand —
And vessels from His house so grand;
The king of Babylon besieged.

Captured in Babylon, we're captured!
God has allowed us to be captured.
Their strange gods are gold and stone,
Not like Jehovah, the living one.
Captured in Babylon, we're captured!
God has allowed us to be captured.
Their strange gods are gold and stone,
Not like Jehovah, the living one.
Captured in Babylon, we're captured!
3
God gave us knowledge and insight, God gave!
God gave us learning and wisdom, God gave!
Understanding dreams, interpreting visions,
Riddle declaring, problem resolving;
God gave surpassing wisdom, God gave!
God gave us learning and wisdom, God gave!
Understanding dreams, interpreting visions,
Riddle declaring, problem resolving;
God gave surpassing wisdom, God gave!
4
Diff'rent, we don't care that we're diff'rent!
Diff'rent, we're glad that we are diff'rent!
Just like Daniel set his heart —
We always choose the better part!
We're diff'rent, and we're glad that we are diff'rent!
Diff'rent, we're glad that we are diff'rent!
Just like Daniel set his heart —
We always choose the better part!
We're diff'rent, and we're glad that we are diff'rent!
