I remember hearing this as an early teenager and it took all I could do to not sob like a child in church. I have always had that reaction to this and Amazing Grace, I'm not sure where this comes from but I just tear up and weep when I hear these hymns.
As an adult now, I have gone through many trials and tribulations. I have struggled by my own doing and the enemy trying to kill me, yet I stand today and proclaim the never ending love of Christ. He brought me through every trial and tribulation and I remain whole. Maybe a bit battle scarred, but so long as I lean on Him, it is well with my soul.
