Each time in the morning

Experience of Christ As Food and Drink

New Song212
1
Each time in the morning, a while before dawn
To You, Lord, I whisper a praise or a song,
And feel Your life stirring so deep within me—
My cup runneth over with joy!
2
And then at the moment my heart turns to Thee,
The eyes of my spirit Your presence can see;
While all is so fresh and the sunlight breaks through—
My cup runneth over with joy!
3
And when at the noontime I’m hungry and worn
And feel that the cares of this world have me torn,
You come as my haven, my rest, and my food—
My cup runneth over with joy!
4
And then in the evening when my thoughts are free,
Remembr’ing that You, Lord, still dwell within me,
This sweet fact releases a river in me—
My cup runneth over with joy!

A sweet song to start my day.

“and then at that moment, my heart turns to Thee, the eyes of my spirit Your presence can see….

My cup runneth over with joy! ”

This sweet song has refreshed my spirit! It has been so many years since I sang it. It warmed my heart to love Him in such a genuine and simple way as I start a new day.

So happy you have the words to this song I used to sing 40 years ago. It is still as sweet & nourishing.

“Lord Jesus I still love You. Thank You for shepherding me all these years. May my life be a glory to You.”

Each time! Each time to You, Lord. Each morning. Each time, may we taste Your newness and freshness. Each morning, turn our hearts to You. Grant us Your presence. Then later, refresh us! Again and again, throughout each day. Come to us, draw us back to You. Remind us! Over and over, day after day. Bother us, Lord, with Your desire for us! Delight us by reminding us of Yourself, the most precious One to us. Break through every preoccupation, every distraction, by being the greater, greatest Attraction. We love You and give ourselves to You again today, Lord.
