Lord, Have Access to My Inner Being

Lord, have access to my inner being.
You can search and find what I’m not seeing.
I don’t know what’s inside,
But I’ll let You abide.
Right now, I open my heart
For You to move freely.

Lord, my heart is overstuffed
with lots of clutter.
It fills me up and makes it hard
for You to enter.
Lord, cleanse me from all the dust,
and all the dirt,
all other loves.
Lord, silence all my wand’ring thoughts.
I just want You.

Lord, make my heart the kind of home
You’d like to dwell in.
What makes You comfort’ble, at ease?
What is Your preference?
Lord, tell me, what’s in Your way?
What grieves Your heart? What complicates
You from Your goal of making home
in me today?

Make Yourself at home in every room.
Transform every corner; make it You.
Don’t be limited still;
Have Your way, have Your will.
Don’t let me stop You from doing
What You want to do.

Lord, my heart is overstuffed
with lots of clutter.
It fills me up and makes it hard
for You to enter.
Lord, empty and simplify.
Break through my will,
emotion, mind,
So You can work in every part
The way You’d like.

Lord, make my heart the kind of home
You’d like to dwell in.
What makes You comfortable, at ease?
What is Your preference?
Lord, tell me, what makes You smile?
What makes You pleased? What’s Your desire?
Do what You need to do in me.
Be satisfied.
