Teach me Thy way, O Lord, Teach me Thy way; Thy gracious aid afford, Teach me Thy way. Help me to walk aright; More by faith, less by sight; Lead me with heav’nly light, Teach me Thy way.

When doubts and fears arise, Teach me Thy way; When storms o’erspread the skies, Teach me Thy way. Shine through the cloud and rain, Through sorrow, toil, and pain; Make Thou my pathway plain, Teach me Thy way.

Long as my life shall last, Teach me Thy way; Where’er my lot be cast, Teach me Thy way. Until the race is run, Until the journey’s done, Until the crown is won, Teach me Thy way.
I memorised this hymn as a teenager about 40 years ago. I have returned to it time after time in all the various trials of life. It never fails to uplift me, This was my prayer as a young person, and God has been faithfully answering it through all sorts of trials. "He is faithful that promised."
I was first introduced to this hymn 37 years ago, as a teenager. It touched the core of my heart. The cry of my heart then is my same cry today. "Teach ME Thy way O Lord." However much I've learned, there is a new light, a deeper truth each passing day. This same cry will remain till I leave this earthly life.
Today my cry is to be humble and open to HIS every leading and direction. What a wonderful song. Today I will be open to Your total will. Thank You for teaching me for forty-five years to love Your will.
I love this song because it reminds me that there is a crown to be won at the end of the journey. Teach us oh Jesus to have even more faith in You. Thank You because You will never leave us alone, You are a faithful God! I love You Lord.
