交通：
『原文意一同參與，共同分享。交通乃是永遠生命的流出，並且實際上，就是所有已經接受並得著神聖生命之信徒裏面永遠生命的流。這是新耶路撒冷裏生命水的流所描繪的。（啟二二1。）因此，所有的真信徒都在這交通裏。（徒二42。）這交通是憑我們重生之靈裏的那靈而得繼續的，因此稱為聖靈的交通（林後十三14）和（我們）靈的交通。（腓二1。）我們信徒乃是在這永遠生命的交通裏，有分於父與子所是、並為我們所作的一切；這乃是我們藉著那靈的交通，享受父的愛和子的恩。（林後十三14。）這樣的交通首先是使徒在藉著那靈享受父與子上所得的分，因此稱為使徒的交通，（徒二42，）以及本節我們（使徒）的交通，就是與父並與祂兒子耶穌基督的交通。這是個神聖的奧祕。永遠生命這奧祕的交通，應當視為本書信的主題。ˍ交通在此指明為著某一共同的目的，把個人的利益放在一邊，並聯於別人。因此，與使徒有交通，在使徒的交通裏，並在使徒的交通裏與三一神有交通，乃是放下我們個人的利益，聯於使徒和三一神，為著完成神的定旨。按照約翰以下所寫的，這定旨是雙重的：(一)信徒因著住在三一神裏面，得以在神聖的生命裏長大；（二12～27；）並基於神聖的出生，過神聖之義與神聖之愛的生活，（二28～五3，）以勝過世界、死、罪、魔鬼和偶像；（五4～21；）(二)眾地方召會為著耶穌的見證，得以建造起來成為燈臺，（啟一～三，）並終結完成於新耶路撒冷，作神完滿的彰顯，直到永遠。（啟二一～二二。）我們有分於使徒對三一神的享受，就是聯於使徒和三一神，以完成神、使徒和所有信徒所共有三一神的神聖定旨。』約壹一3註3
