作诗人在诗歌写作中用“籐牌敌火箭”一词，虽然用词古雅，却带着非常深的属灵启示。如以弗所书第六章所说：“拿着信德当作盾牌，可以灭尽那恶者一切的火箭。”这里的“籐牌”，就是古代士兵用藤编成的大盾牌，轻便却有弹性，甚至在争战前常浸湿，使火箭射来时可以被熄灭。这里的籐牌不是金属的，乃是柔软的藤编成的，属灵的“信”，不是刚硬的坚持，也不是人的意志，乃是一种：柔软向着神的依靠；在主面前可弯、可顺、可受调整。当人越在主面前柔软顺服，他的“籐牌”就越真实。
火箭：不是普通的箭，是从仇敌来的“点燃之物 ”，是带火的箭。在属灵经历中，这些“火箭”常常表现为：突然的怀疑、无来由的灰心、被激动的情绪（怒气、委屈）、对人的误解与控告、对神的疑问与摇动。这些是給撒但機會制造“带火的箭”，点燃人里面的天然人，使人失去平安。
在靈𥚃我們看到，抵挡仇敵的盾牌不是用鋼鐵做的（因為它只能挡，但不能灭火）；乃是“信當盾牌”（是柔軟堅忍的滕牌），这里最宝贵的一点是：籐牌不是“击退”火箭，乃是先“挡住并熄灭”。
属灵的争战，不是靠我们去对抗，乃是把一切临到的，放在“信”里承接 ，让主在里面成为我们的遮盖。要知道，是主在為我們作戰的。
當我們活在与主调和的灵里時，许多原本被仇敵攻擊的火箭點起的火焰，竟然“烧不起来了”，這不是
我们变强了，乃是火失去了可燃的材料。
所以：“籐牌敌火箭”乃是预表着一个属灵生活的写照：我们在灵的深處摸到了一个秘诀就是：在柔软中有信心、在攻击中转向主、在火中经历主的遮盖。我們是與主一同出戰的，依靠主就能剛強站立，就能擊去仇敵的火箭。阿們！
