O Love, that wilt not let me go

1
O Love, that wilt not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in Thee;
I give Thee back the life I owe,
That in Thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.
2
O Light, that followest all my way,
I yield my flickering torch to Thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in Thy sunshine's blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be.
3
O Joy, that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to Thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain
That morn shall tearless be.
4
O Cross, that liftest up my head,
I dare not ask to fly from Thee;
I lay in dust life's glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be.

Lord, remember my consecration even if I forget it. Remind me of Your lovingkindness toward me every single moment. Thank You for being so patient with me, You love still won't let me go even when I'm in the lowest valley. You're the faithful one in us Lord Jesus.

Oh Lord Jesus, many weary years I vainly sought and craved but it was all chasing after the wind. In You I found thy satisfaction and rest. PTL Bro. & Sist. I give You my first (Best) Love...

This hymn is so touching.

I can't help but weep when I hear the brothers sing.

Beautiful song. Personally, the lyrics speaks volumes. It brought tears and eventually comfort to my soul. I have so many questions to God in the past months....maybe years..but still holding on to His promises..serving Him with all my heart and strength..trying my best to keep on keeping on with HIm. I thank God for a friend who introduced this song via his post on Facebook. Bless him Lord.

The lyrics makes you feel the presence of our Lord. And the music is so beautiful. I am in the process of a family tree to see if the Composer is in my family tree.

This is a very special hymn to me. It has gotten me through some of the roughest parts of my life. It reminds me of how God is our love and as our love, He never lets us go, especially during the storm filled moments of our lives. He brings us out of the rain, to shelter, to safety, to complete joy.
