The Goal of the Gospel

Lord, I want to "waste" myself upon You. What others might consider a "waste", to me it is a wonderful way to live - to give all to my Creator, to the Holy One...to the Lord.

This is also the title of the last message in "The Normal Christian Life" by W. Nee. In my opinion that message is the best in the whole book.

福音的目標，乃是要我們用起初的愛──愛主耶穌；
把我們所最寶貝的，甚至把我們最貴重、最有價值的屬靈珍寶，
澆在祂身上；把我們自己──『枉費』在祂身上。

Matt. 26:8 footnote 1: "The disciples considered Mary's love offering to the Lord a waste. Throughout the past twenty centuries thousands of precious lives, heart treasures, high positions, and golden futures have been "wasted" upon the Lord Jesus. To those who love Him in such a way He is altogether lovely and worthy of their offering. What they have poured upon Him is not a waste but a fragrant testimony of His sweetness". (RcV)
