When someone hurts us, especially someone who belongs to the Lord, everything in our natural man wants to hate them. Everything wants to see them ruined and destroyed. Sometimes it's easy to go along with that anger and hatred as a response to that hurt, but sometimes this Love, this strong person within us won't let that happen.
I am very happy that this wonderful person within me is beginning to change my concept concerning healing. It's really no joke when He says to love our enemies, it's not a doctrine or a rule but even a way of healing. Once we apply Him as that all transcended love toward that person or persons who have hurt us, the self is suffocated, the need for vengeance and vindication is muted and the self-seeking expectation for a mutual response is absent.
This is God's love for us and it is only through Him can we display or even enter into this love for others.
May He gain more of this expression on the earth today because look around you, it's more than needed.
