O Lord, You have from days of eternity

This hymn is based on Eph. 3:2 "If indeed you have heard of the stewardship of the grace of God which was given to me for you,". The footnote in the Recovery Version Bible on "stewardship" says: In Greek, the same word as economy in v. 9 and in 1:10. In relation to God, this word denotes God’s economy, God’s administration; in relation to the apostle, it denotes the stewardship (stewardship is used also in 1 Cor. 9:17). The stewardship of the grace is for the dispensing of the grace of God to His chosen people for the producing and building up of the church. Out of this stewardship comes the ministry of the apostle, who is a steward in God’s house, ministering Christ as God’s grace to God’s household.

It is the greatest blessing to be receiving God's dispensing in His economy from Lan individual aspect; yet this dispensing has a purpose and goal, the stewardship for the producing and building up of the church as the Body of Christ. Every time we cooperate with God to enjoy grace, grace has been given to us that we might give grace to others; it is always "to me for you". In our experience, the moment we over-emphasise "to me", we become as the "dead sea" having in-flow, but no out-flow. The moment we over-emphasise "for you", we become as "vain religion" having outward form, but no inward reality. May the Lord have mercy on us, that we may be perfectly balanced and fully consecrated to be a normal Christian in His economy, living solely with the Body in view, and fulfilling our stewardship "to me for you".

To have a normal and proper Christian life there should have a concecration to our whole being. The LORD will work in us and transform us and let allow CHRIST to flow and dwell in us richly. Praise the LORD.

I love You Lord. I renew my consecration to You. May I fulfill faithfully my stewardship...to dispense You to others for Your economy to be fulfilled, to build Your Body.

We are here to express God. This is what God wants and this is His will. We should not live for our own will. May we all be faithful to this stewardship to dispense God. May God gain a group of consecrated people to carry out His will, for His expression here on earth.

We just sang this hymn a while ago at the YP meeting and it's so sweet. The Lord is able to use anyone for His plan (things not being into being) so we give Him all the glory. It is really a privilege to be called by the Lord to be a normal Christian for His economy so we must grab this opportunity to consecrate ourself to Him and give heed to His calling. Lord Jesus, we just love You!

"Lord, I fully consecrate myself to be a normal Christian in Your economy..." Praise the Lord! It is truly the Lord's grace and mercy that we can consecrate ourselves to Him, for His economy absolutely for His purpose. Lord, gain and use us, or else, we'll be useless. We just love You, Lord Jesus. Amen!
