Walking with the Lord—what sweetness!
Despite outward suffering,
Step by step, His footsteps' impress,
His strait way I'm following.
Despite outward suffering,
Step by step, His footsteps' impress,
His strait way I'm following.
Step by step, following,
I'm pursuing Jesus;
Daily I'm following
The strait way with Jesus.
I'm pursuing Jesus;
Daily I'm following
The strait way with Jesus.
2
Walking with the Lord—what splendor!
Dawn shines forth to greet the day;
Each step, to His voice surrender;
Every moment take His way.
Dawn shines forth to greet the day;
Each step, to His voice surrender;
Every moment take His way.
Step by step, following,
I'm pursuing Jesus;
Breath by breath, following
The strait way with Jesus.
I'm pursuing Jesus;
Breath by breath, following
The strait way with Jesus.
3
Walk with Him—naught can alarm us,
Though assailed from many sides;
Step by step obey His guidance;
Narrow path, where'er He guides.
Though assailed from many sides;
Step by step obey His guidance;
Narrow path, where'er He guides.
Step by step, following,
I'm pursuing Jesus;
Every place, following
The strait way with Jesus.
I'm pursuing Jesus;
Every place, following
The strait way with Jesus.
4
Walk with Him—our future's precious;
With Him we'll His kingdom gain;
Every step, pursue His purpose,
On His narrow way remain.
With Him we'll His kingdom gain;
Every step, pursue His purpose,
On His narrow way remain.
Step by step, following,
I'm pursuing Jesus;
I'll remain, following
The strait way with Jesus.
I'm pursuing Jesus;
I'll remain, following
The strait way with Jesus.
