1
Through all the changing scenes of life,
In trouble and in joy,
The praises of my God shall still
My heart and tongue employ.
In trouble and in joy,
The praises of my God shall still
My heart and tongue employ.
2
Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
With me exalt His name;
When in distress to Him I called,
He to my rescue came.
With me exalt His name;
When in distress to Him I called,
He to my rescue came.
3
The hosts of God encamp around
The dwellings of the just;
Deliverance He affords to all
Who on His succor trust.
The dwellings of the just;
Deliverance He affords to all
Who on His succor trust.
4
Oh, make but trial of His love,
Experience will decide
How blest they are, and only they,
Who in His truth confide.
Experience will decide
How blest they are, and only they,
Who in His truth confide.
5
Fear Him, ye saints, and you will then
Have nothing else to fear;
Make you His service your delight,
Your wants shall be His care.
Have nothing else to fear;
Make you His service your delight,
Your wants shall be His care.

A true inspiration of God’s faithfulness and his continuous presence through all the changing scenes of life. It reminds me of Moses' wrestle to affirm that God will be there on the journey even though God was always there from before.

Yes one of the great hymns of the church. I am nearly 80, and have valued it all my life since becoming a Christian at age 15.

I'm in my 80th year. The older I get, the more I appreciate that I have brothers and sisters all around the world and through the centuries who have faced all kind of struggles and trials and who testify to God's faithfulness.
