The old rugged cross

This is one song that reminds me of the sacrificial work of Christ on the cross.

Cross is the emblem of suffering and shame which Christ endured to make salvation available to every sinner even the worst of sinners.

Whenever I sing this song I become emotional with teary eyes.

I will cling to the old rugged cross and exchange it someday for a crown 👑..

Matt God help me

this is a really powerful song so heart touching I cherish that the old rugged cross and love that man Jesus

I will truly cling to the Old Rugged Cross 💖💗💞💕

I remember singing this when I was younger and now I realised that Jesus was watching over me and was with me the entire time. This song puts a smile on my face every time I here it.

This indeed shows Jesus love for me on the cross. I will continue to abide in Him forever. Amen

Such a beautiful and Powerful song. It always brings me back to when I was a lad of five singing with the congregation.

When we sing it, we are always with our brothers and sisters all around us, not to mention the choir of angels!

May we know more of the Dearest and Best, this Dear Lamb of God who came to dark Calvary to die for our sins. May Your Cross Lord hold a wondrous attraction for us once again. Please draw back the veil Lord so that we can really see Calvary once more and may we see the wondrous beauty in it that the hymn writer once saw. All Heaven is taken up in worshiping the Lamb of God - may I too be taken up in worshiping Calvary’s Lamb.

Hallelujah to our God and his son our savour , and Lord, Jesus Christ,

That old rugged cross, so despised by the world, Has a wondrous attraction for me, yes'

Yes as I live I will always live in remembrance of that old rugged cross, Hallelujah.

I love this song
