Today I have finally realized the meaning of this song in its entirety. If you want that sweet fellowship with Jesus all the time full of His blessings immeasurable, just stay with Him and don't wander and do what He says to do in His Word, and don't do what He says not to do. “When you walk with the Lord in the light of His word…” This song came to me now as I was reading Isaiah 50:11. “Behold, all ye that kindle a fire…walk in the light of your fire…ye shall lie down in sorrow. ” Too often I try to walk in the light of my own strength and abilities (the flesh) to no avail. I need only to be the vessel through which His light shines!!
