None other Lamb, none other Name

1
None other Lamb, none other Name,
None other hope in heav'n or earth or sea,
None other hiding-place from guilt and shame,
  None beside Thee.
2
My faith burns low, my hope burns low;
Only my heart's desire cries out in me
By the deep thunder of its want and woe,
  Cries out to Thee.
3
Lord, Thou art Life, though I be dead;
Love's fire Thou art, however cold I be;
Nor heaven have I, nor place to lay my head,
  Nor home but Thee.

The poem “None Other Lamb” is Rossetti’s response to the opening verses of Revelation 5:

5:1 And I saw on the right hand of Him who sits upon the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed up with seven seals.

5:2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the scroll and to break its seals?

5:3 And no one in heaven nor on the earth nor under the earth was able to open the scroll or look into it.

5:4 And I wept much because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or look into it.

5:5 And one of the elders said to me, Do not weep; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so that He may open the scroll and its seven seals.

5:6 And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing as having just been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

I am listening to the music and singing along with tears streaming down my face. Lord Jesus, You are all we ever need.

This hymn reminds me that when I am filled with the Lord do not want anyone or anything else! We can become so easily distracted by things, people, and matters other than Him, but He is the only One who satifies us from deep within. Thank You Lord Jesus that You are life to us! Thank You Lord You are imparting Yourself as life into our spirit.
