1
Dying with Jesus, by death reckoned mine;
Living with Jesus a new life divine;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine,
Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.

Moment by moment I'm kept in His love,
Moment by moment I've life from above;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine;
  Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.
2
Never a battle with wrong for the right,
Never a contest that He doth not fight;
Lifting above us His banner so white;
Moment by moment I'm kept in His sight.
3
Never a trial that He is not there,
Never a burden that He doth not bear;
Never a sorrow that He doth not share,
Moment by moment, I'm under His care.
4
Never a heartache, and never a groan,
Never a teardrop, and never a moan;
Never a danger but there on the throne
Moment by moment He thinks of His own.
5
Never a weakness that He doth not feel,
Never a sickness that He cannot heal;
Moment by moment, in woe or in weal,
Jesus, my Savior, abides with me still.

Moment by moment should be our experience. At least we should see he is with us moment by moment. When we abide with him, we get the riches of the vine.

Today has been a tough day, struggling with my self life. A line of this song came to mind, "looking to Jesus till glory does shine". And I was reminded that it's by looking to Jesus that I am actually transformed into his likeness. The more I look into myself, the more miserable I become. The more I look to Christ, the more glorious. So I'll keep looking to Jesus away from all things around me to him who is the author and perfector of my faith

As the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.

Such a beautiful hymn in turning 63 this month the Lord brought this to my memory from when I was first saved I was 17, Jesus is so precious to me, so faithful to me. And he said and promised” I Will never leave you nor forsake you. I love him because he first loved me,

Time can be broken into different segments: a year, a month, a week, a day. This hymn speaks of moments, "moment by moment". The impulse of the love of God in our hearts is constant and unceasing, that is, moment by moment. Throughout the day in all things, the love of God is touching, influencing and drawing us, moment by moment. Whatever our condition, the impulse of His love is moment by moment. Whatever the situation, the impulse of His love is moment by moment. His love is with us in all the common things, loving us moment by moment. As the impulses of His love visit us moment by moment, let us respond to Him with our moment-by-moment love. His love constrains us moment by moment.

Oh that we may understand how helpless in our own fleshly strength. God is our salvation and He works out our salvation in us. That salvation is a death to self that the Holy Spirit must work in us, so that the Holy Spirit alone may abide in us. The Holy Spirit will fill us. Please don't let anyone deceive you to believe that Jesus died only for forgiveness of sins. He died so that we being joined to Him in His death, may have new life in Him as well (the first two lines of this Hymn tell us this). But this death with Him that we receive by believing it to be true, must be worked out in us by the Holy Spirit in our real life experience. The Holy Spirit will work in our experience a death to self. In my case, it has been a most painful experience as God must remove everything that once brought me joy in this world from my life, so that He alone by His Holy Spirit will reign in my heart. He who loses his life in this world shall keep it for eternity. Unless a grain of wheat dies it remains alone but if it dies it shall bring forth much grain.

I tripped over this hymn this morning. I’m beginning to be aware of my experience of Him and see what Christ can be to me in so many ways. I come to Him each morning and He speaks to me and meets me where I am. I see I need him moment by moment. I also see how my desire changes overtime as a Christian. Here are some hymns that kind of show progress in a Christian’s life.

Oh, how glorious is that table Lord. Hymn 1112 We remember Him every Lords Table

Oh, I need the oh I need the every hour Hymn 371 We know our need is to experience Him every hour of the day.

Moment by moment, Hymn 486

We really have a walk with the Lord and desire Him who is so available . We long to stay with Him.

Abiding in the vine, Hymn 1162

Our ultimate state to abide continuously with Him and realize all His riches to us. This will happen in eternity.

Tonight the lyrics of this beautiful hymn floated into my mind. The concept of deeply desiring a moment by moment relationship isn’t new—just growing in intensity these past few months. I sense an urgency to fully turn my eyes upon Jesus and to not look away. To be a living sacrifice. After Jesus gave His life for me, how can I give Him less?

I have walked with Jesus for many years, but now I’m seeing that I have held back parts of myself and huge swaths of my time, heart, and resources. God forgive me!! Time is short and He deserves my all. Lead me on.

I want that adorning divine Watch! for the morning is breaking We are never weary singing our eternal song Cast thou thy care upon the Lord Ere from our gathering we're dismissed, dear Lord
