Standing on the promises of Christ my King

Assurance and Joy of Salvation A Firm Foundation

English340
1
Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
Through eternal ages let His praises ring,
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.

Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I'm standing on the promises of God.
2
Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God.
3
Standing on the promises I now can see
Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;
Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,
Standing on the promises of God.
4
Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
Bound to Him eternally by love's strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit's sword,
Standing on the promises of God.
5
Standing on the promises I shall not fall,
List'ning every moment to the Spirit's call.
Resting in my Savior as my All in all,
Standing on the promises of God.

Great words! I am so inspired by this song, Have faith in God, you are never alone. Trust God's word, though trial may come prayer and confidence in His promises takes away all our burdens and worries.

Satan is so good at sowing doubts, but the promises of God as written in the Word will stand forever and Jesus will never leave nor forsake me! Thank You, Father.

The word of God is sweet like honey dripping from the honeycomb. Matt 24:35 - heaven and earth will pass away but my words will never pass away. The promises of God gives joy and happiness. This song is a daily reminder that the promises of God is forever.

This is my all life favorite, from the day I opened my eyes, my parents and grandparent was singing Standing on the Promises of God, and while I was traveling through the deep valley of sin, I hear our family choir singing in church this song, that when I realized to survive in life, keep on and stand on your promises you made with your living God, and today, I am standing tall and praising Him, Amen.
