Standing on the promises of Christ my King

Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
Through eternal ages let His praises ring,
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.

Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I'm standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises I now can see
Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;
Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,
Standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
Bound to Him eternally by love's strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit's sword,
Standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises I shall not fall,
List'ning every moment to the Spirit's call.
Resting in my Savior as my All in all,
Standing on the promises of God.

This song really blessed me today in a special way. I was praying, quoting the promises of God's word and this hymn came to my heart. Immediately I googled search for the lyrics so I could sing all the stanza. Lo and behold I landed on this page. I did enjoyed the hymn as I sang along to the tune here.

Thanks so much for your commitment to make this hymn available in this format. God bless you.

The promises of CHRIST will surely come to pass in our lives... HE may tarry but HE will surely come through for us. HIS promises will never fail. Sang this song in the church today and it gave me hope in the midst of the tempest of life.
