My hope is built on nothing less

Assurance and Joy of Salvation Justified in Christ

English298

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

May I be faultless to stand before thy throne. In Christ solid ground I stand.

Oh on Christ the solid rock I stand and I shall remain standing till he returns, I have tested other grounds it's sinking sands, nothing is there

Which other rock can anyone stand on except the Rock of Jesus Christ that can never fail, every other rock is indeed a sinking one. Only the righteous can stand on the Rock of Jesus Christ. People run away from the Rock of Jesus Christ because of their sinful nature and they don’t want to be liberated from their sins. Thank you Jesus I am free through Your Blood that You shed on The Cross of Calvary.

Today, I stand not because of my strength, but because Christ is my sure foundation. He alone is my hope, my righteousness, and my salvation. I trust fully in Him — and I have found a peace and security the world can never offer.

All other ground truly is sinking sand, but on Christ the solid Rock I stand.

Years ago while visiting my son, I rode with him as he went on a job. I shared what a friend had shared about the Feast of Trumpets being one of the final feast to be fulfilled by Christ. At that moment we heard on the radio a modern version of The Solid Rock written by Edward Mote in 1834, and the lyrics: “When He shall come with trumpet sound, oh May I in Him be found. ” I thought that was cool, and then the next day, which was Sunday, my son went to church early because he was in the choir. He later told me that the choir director had changed one of the songs on the list and gave everyone a printout, which he later gave to me. It was The Solid Rock.

This a very encouraging song.

I dare not trust the sweetest frame, all other ground is sinking sand. Only Christ will satisfy. He is the solid Rock!

This song really made me strong when I was still young at Usenge high school. When I was hopeless and in darkness, through the song I got encouraged and our good God did wonders in my life. Amen
