Joys are flowing like a river

1
Joys are flowing like a river,
Since the Comforter has come;
He abides with us forever,
Makes the trusting heart His home.
  Blessed quietness, holy quietness—
  What assurance in my soul!
On the stormy sea He speaks peace to me.
How the billows cease to roll!
2
Bringing life and health and gladness
All around, this heavenly Guest
Banished unbelief and sadness,
Changed our weariness to rest.
3
Like the rain that falls from heaven,
Like the sunlight from the sky,
So the Holy Ghost is given,
Coming to us from on high.
4
See a fruitful field is growing
Blessed fruits of righteousness,
And the streams of life are flowing
In the lonely wilderness.
5
What a wonderful salvation
Where we always see His face!
What a perfect habitation!
What a quiet resting place!

The Lord laid this song in my heart as a confirmation of His word for me and my family for the month of July. Joys shall flow like a river with this assurance that in this month, God shall perfect all that concerns us and shall speak His Peace to us.

The song has ministered to my soul. What a joy that flows from the cross.

The third stanza is so wonderful and powerful...

Like the rain that falls from heaven,

Like the sunlight from the sky,

So the Holy Ghost is given,

Coming to us from on high.

Blessed quietness, holy quietness....... is song I woke up with, searching through my SS&S hymnal that always at my bedside, couldn't find it, so I had to Google it.

I believe is not just to singing it but that the peace of God has been released to as me and to as many that are prayer for God's peace in their circumstances in Jesus name, Amen! P.. e.. a.. c.. e...

Joys are flowing like a river since the comforter has come and speaks peace to our hearts homes families and neighborhood... Amid worldwide sickness he gives us courage to face the for knowing that even if he sweeps me or you through to the valley of death we have hope in Christ Jesus that upon his appearing with voice of the archangel and shout of trump will come out of the Concord of the clay piping up like popcorn in stove out of our graves to see him. Just live right knowing this also that will not die all they that are alive and remain will also see him in glorious splendour all amassed to meet him declaring an end to all the mess we had to take down here... But he says now my peace I leave to you... let not your heart be troubled let's believe on him.

In an atmosphere of gloom and dissatisfaction, the Holy Ghost just flashed the light of this song to my heart. Now I am comforted; and I have discovered the endless depth of my wealth in God, by the Holy Ghost. Praise the Lord!!!

Though I didn't learn the lyrics back then, but now I have it. I am glad.

This hymn was sang in Church by the choir this morning, and I couldn't help tearing up when I remember how the Holy Spirit speaks peace unto the hearts of men in troubled times. God bless the composer of this hymn.
