Jesus shall reign where'er the sun Doth his successive journeys run; His Kingdom stretch from shore to shore, Till moons shall wax and wane no more. |
2
|
To Him shall endless prayer be made. And princes throng to crown His head, His name like sweet perfume shall rise With every morning sacrifice. |
3
|
People and realms of every tongue Dwell on His love with sweetest song; And infant voices shall proclaim Their early blessings on His name. |
4
|
Blessings abound where'er He reigns: The prisoner leaps to lose his chains, The weary find eternal rest, And all the sons of want are blest. |
5
|
Where He displays His healing power Death and the curse are known no more; In Him the tribes of Adam boast More blessings than their father lost. |

Let every creature rise and bring Peculiar honors to our King; Angels descend with songs again, And earth repeat the loud Amen. |

Oh! Thanks to Jesus, this is the best of it's kind...
It's reminds me of my mentor Hon. Nwogu Prince Ugwueze who made me to love and know different hymns.
God be praised

I woke with, Let every creature rise and bring . . . Going through my head repeatedly but couldn't remember which hymn it was, so 6am when my husband got up I was straight onto the internet to find out. So glad to be able to satisfy my curiosity and sing the whole hymn.
I thank God for this wonderful service.

Read Psalm 72 this morning and began to sing this hymn which I haven't sung for over 60 years. The Holy Spirit has brought it to my mind!

Hearing Psalm 72 yesterday this came back to me from high school around 1965-70. Didn't know Jesus then but the power of these words and melody clearly found their way into the soil of my heart and bore fruit 14 years later. How wonderful He is, matchless Jesus.
