I was sinking deep in sin

Awoke this morning with this old hymn repeating in my mind.

Haven't been to a church service in over 10 yrs.

Is there any love as true as Christ's love? So perfect, redeeming and genuine??

About three decades ago, I went out with my mum. We wanted to cross a busy road. My mum was holding my hand as a parent would do. As a fast moving truck was closely approaching, I ran across the road. My mum couldn't run after me because everyone at the scene thought I would be crushed.

My mum loves and cares for me but her love couldn't save me from death.

As the truck was about to hit me, God's power stopped it. Everyone was amazed.

Since then, I believe in God's omnipotence and omnipresence. He loves us, He is everywhere and always ready to save.

When my parent's love failed, God's love saved.

On several occasions, this saving love of God has rescued me from perishing in the raging sea of sins.

Praise the Lord!

Anxious, dark surroundings when I woke and then Love Lifted Me started singing in my head. Only my Saviour sings such beauty and truth. May we all be blessed in His love and presence today.

I woke up this morning trying to figure out my emotions and the validity of my feelings. I concluded that nobody understand me but God. He validated this to me when I turn to my devotion this morning and the Topic was "The Lord Understands." I cried and this song came to me and I googled it. What an understanding God I serve. A God who knows me better than I know myself. A God who understands me when no one else does. A God who knows my deepest struggles. Glory to His name.

Indeed when nothing else seem meaningless, when we have no hope in anything else, the fact that we know we have a creator who loves us unconditionally, then does our spirits get lifted.... thank you

Indeed, love lifted me

I can hear the congregation belting out this song on the nights when we were asked to choose our favorite hymns and we would do a sing-long with the Choir or Music Director! Amazing memories!! God’s message of Salvation is so clear in these lyrics!!

When nothing else could help, Love lifted me. Thank You for Your unchanging love.

This morning I woke with this song on my heart. It is so refreshing to sing along with the piano musical. It reminded me of back in the days as a child going to church with my parents. Nowadays one does not hear a lot of hymns....

I woke up this morning singing this old hymn & it’s amazing what technology does nowadays, really remarkable! Yep, you got me..... Love Lifted Me, in fact Love gets me every time & Jesus completely saves!
