It's amazing how these words got into my mind and heart over 50 years ago! At the time, this was a popular tune by a well-known group, and what was common in the 70s was to compose living words to popular tunes to replace vain ones. Dark thoughts tend to creep in from time to time, so this morning, this song resurrected from the distant past and turned the Light on and shined away all the negative thoughts and feelings! "Christ the real life giver...!" To sing this song engages the Spirit of the resurrected, enlarged and pneumatic Christ... and, whooosh... in comes a mighty, rushing Wind!
