I love this song! I still cry whenever I hear it. It's such a joyful song but it tells of the Father's loving, tender, forgiving heart toward us.
Based on the famous story of The Prodigal Son, this is the only time in the Bible when we see the Father looking and then running toward and embracing His returned Prodigal Son. How many times have we experienced this in our daily lives? Our Christian lives?! The welcoming arms of our dear Father! I'm surprised by Grace again!
