I am so glad to find this song. I have been teaching it for years but only knew the first line and end ,,,the birdies in the tree tops sing their songs the birdies in the tree tops all day long the birdies in the tree tops praise the Lord so why can't I why can't you praise Him too.. I never knew the other lines and I am thrilled to learn them. I learned the song at Bible to Youth camp in Union Town, PA . Uncle Davey the camp Director taught it to us. Praise the Lord! I love singing and teaching it.

My mother sang this song while in the hospital shortly before she passed away.

This was a favourite of mine about 50 years ago as well. I am now doing research and writing on ecotheology and a number of theologians stress the fact that all of creation praises God just by being what it is, a witness to God's creativity. Whenever we worship, we are joining our voices to an unceasing universal praise. Indeed, this little chorus sums up this profound idea in such a simple way!

I learned this song in Sunday School as a kid and while I was at work watering the plants, it came back to me. This song always put me in the mood to worship God!

I sang this as a very small child in Sunday School almost 50 years ago. It came to mind again because where we live now, from the first hint of dawn until late morning, our trees are full of singing birds.

I learnt this in Sunday School. We all sometime forget to praise God! Even for the birds and the trees etc...! What a wonderful God we have!

My children attended a boarding school in Malaysia in the 80's-90's and brought this song home to our family. It is fun to sing and has a wonderful message for all ages.
