Yes, there is a race for us to run hallelujah!
We must look away from everything unto Him. But we must remember we do not race against any man. We race against time. So we must always look at him as our goal, but we must redeem the time. The days are evil.

1. Running the Race
In verse 24 Paul goes on to say, ‘Do you not know that those who run in a racecourse all run, but one receives the prize? So run, that you may lay hold. ’ This reveals that the Christian life is a race we must run successfully. The prize is a reward as an incentive. To lay hold is to obtain the prize. ” (Life-Study of First Corinthians, Message 46, page 410).
